Bengaluru: Chaos prevailed at Bidadi railway station after midnight on Monday when police and railway protection personnel conducted a search for a ‘bomb’. After searching for over two hours, police declared it a hoax call.
To ensure everything was safe, officers conducted a second search early Tuesday morning. Finally, they declared everything safe.
According to police, an unidentified man called the railway station around midnight and claimed a bomb was planted there. The miscreant reportedly spoke in broken Kannada and Hindi.
“Soon, the railway protection police alerted Ramanagara police control room. Officials from Bidadi, Ramanagara Town, and Ramanagara Rural stations rushed to the spot. Accompanied by an anti-sabotage team, they searched and declared it a hoax call,” an officer said.
