The chilling murder of former Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput in Meerut has shaken the country. What first appeared to be a crime fuelled by an extramarital affair has now taken an even darker turn. A disturbing new detail has surfaced– one that connects the accused, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, to an unsettling entity called Karn Pishachini.
As investigators dig deeper, disturbing questions come up. Was this just about betrayal and greed, or was there something even more unsettling? Could Muskan and Sahil’s interest in the occult have played a role in what happened?
A shocking discovery: Muskan’s cryptic message before the murder
In an interview with India TV, Muskan’s mother revealed a disturbing detail. Before the murder, her daughter had repeatedly mentioned keeping records of her thoughts and actions in her diary and on her phone. She had also spoken cryptically about a ‘Plan B.’

“She always told me, ‘Mummy, I have written everything down in my mobile and diary. If anything happens to me, it’s all there,’” her mother said. However, she never let anyone see these records.
But perhaps the most spine-chilling moment came when, just before the murder, Muskan messaged her mother: “Mummy, do you know about Karn Pishachini?”
As mentioned in the interview, her mother had never heard the name before, so she asked her father (Muskan’s grandfather), who responded, “It is a deity, but a lower deity.” He warned, “If she got involved in something occult, it could be dangerous for the entire family. The internet is full of misleading information. Without a proper guru, knowledge can be harmful.”
What exactly was Muskan trying to say? And why was she thinking about Karn Pishachini on the day of the murder?
Who or what is Karn Pishachini?
Karn Pishachini is a mysterious figure in Indian occult beliefs, known for whispering hidden secrets into the ears of those who summon her. According to Medium, unlike the terrifying Pishachinis often described in folklore, she isn’t just a spirit that haunts or harms– she is believed to reveal things no one else could possibly know, from past events to future predictions. Her name itself reflects this idea, with “Karna” meaning “ear” and “Pishachini” referring to a supernatural female entity.

Some people, especially those involved in tantra and mystical practices, seek her out for knowledge, but she is not to be taken lightly. As per Medium, if not summoned correctly or respected, she is said to bring madness, confusion, and even destruction. Rituals connected to her are complex and require deep understanding– without proper guidance, they can go terribly wrong.
The brutal murder that shocked Meerut
The murder itself was as horrifying as it was calculated. According to the police and media reports, Muskan and Sahil had been plotting the crime for months.
On March 3, 2025, when Saurabh returned home, Muskan served him ‘lauki ke kofte,’ a dish his mother had prepared. But this meal was far from ordinary– Muskan had laced it with sedatives. As Saurabh lost consciousness, Muskan called Sahil to their home in Indira Nagar. What followed was a brutal killing, with both of them stabbing Saurabh multiple times until he was dead.
But their cruelty did not stop there. In an attempt to erase all evidence, they dismembered Saurabh’s body into 15 pieces, placed them in a drum, and filled it with cement, which remained undiscovered for days.
Occult elements found at the crime scene
According to media reports, including NDTV, investigators later uncovered chilling details about Muskan and Sahil’s mindset before the crime. Reports suggest that the crime scene had markings resembling tantric symbols, and there were traces of what seemed like ritualistic activity. This has raised serious questions about whether their involvement with the occult went beyond mere curiosity.

Muskan’s history also adds to the mystery. As mentioned in the India TV interview, her family members revealed that she had previously shown interest in Osho’s teachings. But could her curiosity, along with Sahil’s influence, have led them down a darker path?
A crime fueled by betrayal or something more?
While police have labeled the case as one driven by an extramarital affair and greed, the new angle of occult involvement cannot be ignored.
Muskan was not just a woman trapped in an unhappy marriage. She was someone who, according to her own mother, spoke of “Plan B” and cryptically hinted at having written everything down, as if she knew something was coming. And then, just before the murder, she brought up Karn Pishachini, as mentioned in the interview.
Did she and Sahil truly believe in supernatural forces? Were they performing rituals before or after the crime? Or was it all part of a psychological breakdown leading up to the murder?
