NEW DELHI: Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a petition filed by Tushar Gandhi, great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, challenging the Gujarat govt’s decision to redevelop Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.
As the petitioner expressed apprehension that the project will alter the topography of the century-old ashram, a bench of justices M M Sundresh and Rajesh Bindal said that it could not pass order merely on the basis of apprehension, it said he can move Gujarat HC if it happened.
